Community Involvement

At TradeWinds Island Resorts, we specialize in making people feel at home. That’s why we’re committed to helping those who could use a hand making their home in our community. Over the years, TradeWinds has developed a special relationship with the Academy Prep Center of St. Petersburg, a private middle school program for fifth through eight grade students, designed specifically to give children of low-income families the best education possible. Many of our employees even choose to give a portion of every paycheck to the academy.
 
In December 2008, TradeWinds offered guests a free room night when they donated to The Children’s Home of Tampa Bay, a program that garnered more than $30,000 in contributions for children in need. In 2010, TradeWinds will also host a special fishing tournament that will benefit the Ronald McDonald House and Athletes for Hearts.
